About Hands On Creations

Hi, I’m Lani, the owner and creator behind Hands On Creations, a small business based in Central Florida.

How It Started

Creativity has always been a big part of my life. Before starting Hands On Creations, I owned a home-based cake business and two Etsy shops. After ten successful years, I decided to close the cake business and eventually combined my Etsy shops into what is now Hands On Creations.

Why “Hands On”?

I love learning new things, especially anything creative. I’ve always found that the best way for me to learn is simply to jump in and work hands on—which made the name a natural fit.

Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide variety of materials and techniques. I’ve built wooden projects and signs, created resin and custom drinkware, experimented with watercolor, sewing and pottery, and expanded into leatherwork, laser engraving, and 3D printing.

I enjoy having the freedom to move between different materials because sometimes an idea works best in leather, sometimes in wood, and sometimes it becomes something completely unexpected.

Made to Be Personal

For me, the best part of creating is seeing an idea go from something in my head to a finished piece that someone can actually use, enjoy, or give as a gift.

Many of the items I create can be personalized with names, colors, designs, engraving, or other custom details. I believe those personal touches are what turn a simple item into something meaningful.
